Daniel Freed and Ian Baber make up Freed Creativity, a tinker/hacker shop developing cool new products. If you want a small/medium scale run of engraved, glass, metal, marble, or cut acrylic and wood, these are your guys. My brother (Ian) has been developing modular glue-less storage and shelving units.
So I have been playing a lot of Warframe recently. The symbol engraved here is the symbol representing the Female A.I. that chats you up and tells you all about how she is detecting ice. Anyway it looks super dope on a wine glass. I was happy about it.
The folks at Freed Creativity really want your buisness! If you want an engraving, or a custom cut jigsaw Catan board, the artists and fabricators of Freed Creativity can help you!
"Emmett, do you want to say something?" she asked. The main hall was stifling to me in that moment. The barn which was converted into a two story classroom and office space, left a large portion open, and laminated. It had mirrors and parallel bars across one side for ballet, but was used for other large events when needed. Sitting in training like I was, with the huge vaulted space above me I decided to close the journal I had been furiously scribbling in, and speak. "...yyyeeaah?" Everyone chuckled a bit. I tried to compose my thoughts. "I think our programming is... well Meat-space-centric?" Looking around the room I had everyone's eyes, and they looked like the eyes of someone who has just heard a soon to be passerby start yammering under their breath. They were braced for some crazy. I continued. "People use the term meat-space to present a dichotomy between the 'real' and 'virtual' worlds. I mean there is no such thin...
I feel like the dev's have created a basket of gameplay with no idea what the challenges for endgame are. They made a raid and PVP which is great, but this game has evolved and grown so much from when it started, I feel like you aren't playing ninjas anymore. Compare the beta, which was pretty much runny jumpy slidey action action, running past enemies, to where we are now, which is an extermination squad. People complain about not being able to take damage. So and so is "made out of tissue paper." Try not getting shot? It moved the combat decisions from really nitty gritty technical decisions, to more dynasty warriors, 'how do I combo the biggest crowd of dudes' type problems. This is the power creep, the power creep is real. At one point they were seriously considering taking out serration. Which in my opinion would have been the best move to make. What this means is that the all guns would be balanced against eachother damage wise, forever, ...
I am excited. There are many reasons. Story telling has never before seen such a potential for empathy. Video games succeed as an art form when they show you a world, and the choices you make, are the ones that a person in that situation would make. The bard would have you know that the task of a story teller, is to set your words adrift upon the ocean of interpretation. You check them for leaks and reinforce the hull, so that they can be heard and sail through storms of apathy and ambiguity. We now can create worlds. People can then enter the craft, see things that we show them and engage like a person would. Not only that we can assign character to the persona they inhabit. Mass Effect takes this and hits the ground running. You are the hero, Commander Sheppard. The how is left to you, and has lead to the idiom regarding "Your Shepard," or "My Shepard." The differences in how people achieve the same goals within the story add to its intricacy, and carry clou...
