Photographic Eyes
I wish I had more control of how I see. Cloves get harsh towards the end.
Constantly I am witnessing and forgetting, wishing I could lengthen the shutter speed. Then I could step back and look at everything that just happened. I could see how the stars move, and the shapes of a persons walk. I could dig deep into the visual How of it all.
Adrenaline making the image clear as I drive, I want to blur the green lights ahead of me into brush strokes. But what I see is constantly in a state of "Just Then," and then gone.
I once wrote that pillows seem softer when you are drunk. Now I think that is because you don't remember lying down.
